For the love of a horse

To love is to admire with the heart,

To admire is to love with the mind.                    — T. Gantier

For the Love of a Horse

His eyes are expressive, large and brown seeing into the soul of problems and seeing the reality, seeing and ready.

He comments with the traditional,TV sound-track whinny, with a question mark at the end, “Are we going to play? Hay?”

He is fuzzy with winter fur, chubby with winter hay, happy with winter sunshine.

He doesn’t like riding in trailers, but he likes to load up. He likes games and the jolly ball and carrying sticks.

Equine mystery

He is such a silly, quick, athletic boy and I admire him so. –JR
